Abstract:
To provide a zoom lens that is compact in size of an entire lens system, has a wide angle of view, and easily achieves high optical performance.SOLUTION: A zoom lens includes, disposed in order from an object side to an image side, a first lens group with negative refractive power, an intermediate group including one or more lens groups, and a rear group, and the interval between adjacent lens groups varies during zooming. The first lens group includes two or more negative lenses and one or more positive lenses and the rear group includes a lens element nr with negative refractive power at a position nearest to the image side. Assuming that refractive indexes at the d line, C line, t line, and F line of material are nd, nC, nt, and nF, respectively, the Abbe number νd and partial dispersion ratio θct of the material, and the Abbe number and partial dispersion ratio νdnr and θCtnr of material of the lens element nr are each appropriately set.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
