The zoom lens system for performing variable magnification by comprising a plurality of groups and changing group intervals includes: a reflection member M for folding an optical axis up to approximately 90 degrees in a first group GR1 of fixing during zooming; a second group GR2 which is movable during zooming and has negative refracting power at an image side of the first group GR1 by including at least a negative group at an object side from the reflection member M; and at least an optical amount regulation material ST1 of fixing during zooming, changes an angle by the reflection member M during reducing a barrel, and stores the negative group in the first group GR1 in its space.
