PURPOSE: To compensate a chromatic aberration due to off-axis luminous flux excellently as well as the chromatic aberration of a spherical aberration by specifying the constitution of a lens group B with positive refracting power in a zoom lens which moving at least two lens groups including the lens group B to perform power variation.
CONSTITUTION: The zoom lens varies the power by moving at least two lens groups including the lens group with positive refracting power, and the lens group B has three lens parts; a positive lens part B1 having at least two lenses with positive refracting power and a negative lens part B with negative refracting power, and a positive lens part B3 with positive refracting power successively from an object side. The negative lens part B2 has a cemented lens formed by cementing a lens BN1 with negative refracting power to a meniscus lens BN2 which has the concave surface on the image surface side and negative refracting power, and νBN1<νBN2, where νBN1 and νBN2 are Abbe numbers of glass of meniscus lenses BN1 and BN2.
