Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom optical system which is capable of keeping an observation optical system compact and realizing a high-resolution observation image display system whose observation field of view can be changed at will without having to change the working distance of the observation optical system, and to provide an image capturing device having the same.SOLUTION: In order to solve the above problem, a zoom optical system of the present invention is configured to be connected to an observation optical system, and comprises a first lens group G1 disposed on the most observation optical system side, a last lens group (G4) disposed on the most image side, and multiple movable lens groups (G2, G3) disposed between the first lens group G1 and the last lens group and configured to be movable along an optical axis. Zooming is accomplished by keeping the first lens group G1 and the last lens group stationary in the optical axis direction and moving the multiple movable lens groups along the optical axis. Shifting of focus from an object at the furthest point to an object at the closest point is accomplished by moving at least one of the multiple movable lens groups along the optical axis.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
