Abstract:
To provide a Zr alloy suitable for a nuclear fuel clad tube or a nuclear fuel structural member having efficient creep resistance and enhanced penetrability of a thermal neutron, and to provide its manufacturing method.
There are provided a Zr alloy containing Si:1 to 2.8 mass% and the balance Zr with inevitable impurities, and containing a crystal grain of an eutectic phase comprising an intermetallic compound rule lattice Zr3Si and Zr, and a parent phase comprising Zr, and a manufacturing method of the Zr alloy by annealing heat treatment of the Zr alloy at temperature in a range of 500 to 600°C.
