Abstract:
To provide an abnormality detection device of a metal melting furnace capable of further earlier detecting an abnormal reaction in the metal melting furnace, and a detection method.SOLUTION: An abnormality detection device 3 of a metal melting furnace of the present invention comprises a pressure gage 30 installed in a dust collection duct 20 through which exhaust gas from an electric furnace 1 flows and detecting pressure of the exhaust gas in the dust collection duct 20, and a detector 31 connected to the pressure gage 30 and detecting the occurence of an abnormal reaction in the electric furnace 1 on the basis of the pressure detected by the pressure gage 30. The detector 31 can detect the occurence of the abnormal reaction in the electric furnace 1, when the time from the start of pressure rise to the peak of the pressure is within a predetermined time and a pressure variation amount per unit time is a predetermined value or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
