Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable continuous operation of a diesel engine for a long time by surely removing soot and dust in the exhaust gas of the diesel engine.
CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical container 19 having a grain-packed layer is disposed on the upper portion of an exhaust collector ring 4 while eccentric to the ring, and exhaust gas from each cylinder 2 is fed into a large space 29 below the exhaust collector ring 4 via a diffuser 30, and a means 51 for supplying high-temperature gas to be reclaimed is provided above the exhaust collector ring 4, and soot and dust collected in the grain-packed layer is burnt to reclaim the filtering material of the grain-packed layer.
