PURPOSE: To improve the accuracy of a machined surface by disposing a fixing member on the front surface side of a tip adjustment member via a shim, whereby a tip and the tip adjustment member are fixedly attached to a milling cutter body.

CONSTITUTION: A tip 2 within the tip pocket 11 of a main body is fixed in a four-side constrained manner by a main body wall surface 12, a main body bearing surface 13, a contact surface 31 of an adjustment member 3 and the pressing surface 41 of a fixing member 4. For this reason, the fixing force of the tip 2 is extremely high, and the tip 2 is highly stable. Even when a large machining force is applied to the tip 2, the tip 2 is prevented from its loose fitting. Also, in a process of correcting irregularities of the cutting edge of each tip 2, the irregularities are corrected by operating the adjustment member 3. Thereafter, the adjustment member 3 is pressed and fixed by a fixing member 6 via a shim 5. Accordingly, the adjustment member 3 is accurately fixed in its home position without moving even an inch.
