Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adapter that allows various kinds of optical systems to properly function in a lens interchangeable camera system.SOLUTION: An adapter includes: a first mount section that is detachably attached to a camera body; a second mount section that is provided separately from the first mount section and is detachably attached to an interchangeable lens; and an adapter control section which can communicate with the camera body attached to the first mount section and the interchangeable lens attached to the second mount section. The adapter control section receives a first control command for initialization of a predetermined driven section in the interchangeable lens and a second control command for termination of drive control of the predetermined driven section respectively from the camera body, and converts either one of the first control command and second control command to a third control command to be sent to the interchangeable lens.
