Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fall a compression ratio within a predetermined range while suppressing deterioration of heat shielding property, in an engine with a heat shield film.SOLUTION: A heat shield film is formed in a combustion chamber formation part 10 of a cylinder head 5. When the volume of the combustion chamber formation part 10 is out of an allowable range, by additionally machining a heat shield film in a squish area of the combustion chamber formation part 10, or a top land 23 of a piston 1, and by selecting a proper piston 1 from among a plurality of pistons 1 having different dimensions of a prepared combustion chamber formation surface, the volume of an engine combustion chamber falls within the allowable range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
