Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a post-processing apparatus that can correct a deviation in punching position with a configuration simpler than traditional configurations.SOLUTION: A post-processing apparatus 100 includes: a transporting mechanism for transporting a sheet in a predetermined transporting direction; a punching device 120 for punching the sheet; a moving mechanism 130 for moving the punching device in a width direction orthogonal to the transporting direction; and a detector 110 disposed on the transporting path of the sheet for optically detecting marks on the sheet that indicate positions to be punched. The marks each contain a plurality of characteristic portions extending in the width direction, and the distance between the characteristic portions in the transporting direction varies depending on the width direction. The moving mechanism determines the position of the punching device in the width direction based on a difference in detection timings of detectors corresponding to the respective characteristic portions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
