To achieve both of preventing the frosting of an evaporator and suppressing the deterioration in the air-conditioning feeling of an occupant.
This air-conditioner includes a refrigerating cycle 10 evaporating discharged coolant from a compressor 11 by the evaporator 9 and cooling the air blown out into the cabin, an evaporator temperature sensor 34 detecting the temperature of the evaporator 9, a frosting prevention control means stopping the compressor 11 when the detected value of the evaporator temperature sensor 34 is below a first set temperature and restarting the compressor 11 when the detected value of the evaporator temperature sensor 34 exceeds a second set temperature, a temperature setting means setting the first set temperature, an operating ratio calculating means calculating the operating ratio of the compressor 11, and a cooling thermal load estimation means estimating the cooling thermal load condition of the evaporator 9 based on the operating ratio of the compressor 11. The temperature setting means sets the first set temperature at a temperature higher than a reference temperature when the cooling thermal load condition of the evaporator 9 is in a first condition in which the frosting easily occurs, and sets the first set temperature at a temperature lower than the reference temperature when the cooling thermal load condition of the evaporator 9 is in a second condition in which the frosting hardly occurs.
