Abstract:
To accurately predict icing on a fan of an outdoor unit to execute icing prevention in which the fan of the outdoor unit is rotated in order to prevent drops of water from sticking only when there is a possibility of the icing, and to suppress wasteful power consumption in the icing prevention.SOLUTION: An outdoor unit 4 comprises an icing prevention part 50 to which data on a weather forecast related to the area where the air conditioner 2 is installed is input from a Web server 7, and which receives a current outside air temperature from an outside air temperature sensor 42, and then rotates a fan 44 when a rotation condition that a weather forecast corresponding to current time indicates rainfall or snowfall and the input outside air temperature is equal to or lower than a predetermined temperature threshold, is established. In addition, the icing prevention part 50 rotates the fan 44 when a rotation condition to which a condition that a wind velocity of the weather forecast corresponding to the current time is equal to or faster than a predetermined wind velocity threshold is added, is established.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
