Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for supplying air to a drum brake which can inhibit temperature rise in the drum brake and inhibit deterioration of brake performance of a brake device and increase of component costs.SOLUTION: An air supply device supplies compressed air to the interior of a brake drum 42 which houses a brake mechanism 44 and includes: a relay valve 65 which supplies compressed air to the brake mechanism 44 in the brake drum 42 through a primary air supply passage 71 to actuate a brake device; and a secondary air supply passage 72 which supplies the compressed air discharged from the brake mechanism 44 to the interior of the brake drum 42.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
