Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas turbine intake air filter capable of ensuring low pressure loss and a long life while keeping high collection efficiency.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a gas turbine intake air filter for collecting fine particles in gas, comprising: a filter medium formed of glass fibers and including a first layer and a second layer combined with each other; and a frame holding the filter medium so that the first layer directs upstream of an air flow. The first layer has collection efficiency of 40 to 70% for particles at a particle size of 0.3 μm, a mass per unit area of 60 to 80 g/m, an average fiber diameter of 0.9 to 2.0 μm, and a thickness of 0.2 to 0.5 mm. The second layer has collection efficiency of 90 to 99.99% for particles at a particle size of 0.3 μm, a mass per unit area of 35 to 50 g/m, and an average fiber diameter of 0.3 to 0.8 μm. The filter medium has collection efficiency of 95 to 99.999% for particles at the particle size of 0.3 μm and a thickness of 0.4 to 0.9 mm.
