Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air supply system of a friction resistance reduction ship which may be used during stormy weather and thereby extend a time period that an air lubrication method can be used to improve the energy-saving effect of the friction resistance reduction ship.SOLUTION: A friction resistance reduction ship 1 supplies air bubbles from an air supply port 40 to a periphery of a ship body 10 to reduce friction resistance. The friction resistance reduction ship 1 includes: a vent sleeve 31 provided at an upper deck of a bow part 11 of the ship body 10; an opening 33 provided at a height from the upper deck, at which the opening 33 is inhibited from being subject to influence of waves, in the vent sleeve 31; an air suction port 34 provided at the opening 33; and a forecastle having a watertight door and located in the bow part 11. The upper deck is a deck of the forecastle, and air suctioned from the air suction port 34 is supplied as air bubbles from the air supply port 40.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
