Abstract:
Provided is an air supply system that can cut back on the amount of time during which the air pressure of compressed air in an air tank is below a set range. This air supply system performs a supply action in which compressed air supplied from a compressor (4) is made to flow from upstream to downstream via an air dryer (11) that has a drying agent (17) and a check valve (19). The air supply system is provided with an ECU (80) that switches between the supply action and a non-supply action in which the compressed air is not supplied upstream of the check valve (19) and, during the non-supply action, performs a renewal action in which the drying agent (17) is renewed. The ECU (80) is provided with supplementation request conditions for starting the supply action as supplementation processing of the compressed air on the basis of a balance index when the non-supply action is in progress. The balance index is calculated on the basis of the ratio of the detected energy of the compressed air in an air tank (13), with the increase/decrease of the compressed air in the air tank (13) over successive periods based on a control cycle of the ECU (80) taken into account, to a reference energy of the compressed air at a reference pressure in the air tank (13).
