Abstract:
To provide an alarm configured to employ a new control method appropriately, while preventing halt of functions.SOLUTION: An alarm 100 includes a storage unit 4 storing software SW, and a control unit 10 which controls notification function of monitoring the surroundings and issuing an alarm based on a monitoring result and a function of the storage unit 4 in accordance with information stored in the storage unit 4. The storage unit 4 includes a first storage area, a second storage area, and a third storage area each storing part of the software SW, at least, and is configured to update the software SW. The control unit 10 causes the first storage area to store a first part of the software SW including instructions regarding the notification function, causes the second storage area to store a second part of the software SW, and uses the third storage area to update the first or second part of the software SW.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
