Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for selectively extracting cadmium or zinc ions from a solution containing at least one base metal ion chosen from cadmium and zinc.SOLUTION: There is provided a compound represented by formula I [wherein R, R, Rand Rare each independently hydrogen, a substituted or unsubstituted linear or branched 8-18C alkyl, 8-18C alkenyl or 8-18C alkynyl or a substituted or unsubstituted linear or branched 7-18C arylalkyl or 8-18C arylalkenyl (provided that when Ris hydrogen, Ris not hydrogen; and when Ris hydrogen, Ris not hydrogen); and Land Lare each independently substituted or unsubstituted linear or branched 1-5C alkylene, 2-5C alkenylene or 2-5C alkynylene].
