Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reliably detecting the irregular travel of a transported web.SOLUTION: A method for measuring an amount of displacement of a web includes transporting a long web, and measuring an amount of displacement of the web with respect to the transport direction with a sensor of ultrasonic system. According to an embodiment, the web is a resin film, paper, metal or glass. According to an embodiment, the amount of displacement is 0.1 mm-100 mm in the thickness direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
