PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable displacement type vane pump capable of preventing follow-up delay of a cam ring.SOLUTION: A variable displacement type vane pump 100 comprises: a rotor 2; vanes 3; a cam ring 4; a pump chamber 11; a first fluid pressure chamber 16 and a second fluid pressure chamber 17, that are defined on the outer peripheral side of the cam ring 4; a bias member 18 always biasing the cam ring 4; a throttle 37 imparting resistance to a working fluid discharged from the pump chamber 11; a control valve 27 introducing the working fluid, that is discharged from the pump chamber 11, to the first fluid pressure chamber 16 in association with rise of a differential pressure across the throttle 37, and discharging the working fluid in the first fluid pressure chamber 16 in association with lowering of the differential pressure across the throttle; a suction passage 22 leading the working fluid to be sucked in the pump chamber 11 and always communicating with the second fluid pressure chamber 17; and a conduction passage 36 providing communication between the control valve 27 and the second fluid pressure chamber 17 and leading the working fluid, that is discharged from the first fluid pressure chamber 16 to the control valve 27, to the second fluid pressure chamber 17.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
