Abstract:
To provide a seismic reinforcement method that makes it easy and reliable for existing steel column beam structures by adding new braces for seismic reinforcement to existing steel column beam frames and reinforcing them, and by solving the problems associated with the addition of the new braces.SOLUTION: A method for seismic reinforcement of an existing steel column beam frame 6 comprising a plurality of steel columns 4 and steel beams 5 which are erected and fixed on a foundation 1 made of concrete via a base connecting portion 3, a brace connecting step of connecting and fixing a brace 7 for seismic reinforcement between the two columns 4 constituting the steel column beam frame 6, and an auxiliary member connecting step for connecting and fixing the auxiliary member 8 for stress transmission over the brace 7 connection place in the lower end side column 4a for connecting and fixing the lower end portion of the brace 7 or a portion below the brace and the other column 4 of the two pillars 4 for connecting and fixing the brace 7.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
