PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antiviral agent and an antiviral food which are a novel utilization method of a green alga-derived substance.SOLUTION: An antiviral agent and an antiviral food contain a green alga-derived substance as an active ingredient, and are used for preventing or treating an RNA virus infectious disease having no envelope. For example, an RNA virus having no envelope is rotavirus which belongs to Reoviridae. Further, for example, the green alga-derived substance is a chlorella-derived substance, and is chlorella, fine powder of chlorella, or hot water extract of chlorella.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
