Abstract:
In a method for producing a protein from animal cells, clogging of a column or filter closely packed in an airtight container makes continuous operation difficult. To solve this problem, provided is a module wherein: a slurry containing a liquid cell culture medium and a resin is mixed with an in-line mixer to give a slurry containing the resin bonded to protein; the resin-containing slurry is separated from the resin-free liquid cell culture medium with a cyclone; and then the protein is eluted from the resin slurry.
