Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a tool failure sensing device which senses any failure of a tool, can store the power waveform at the time automatically, and can statistically determine and set the data about the threshold monitoring period, etc., for sensing failure of tool.
CONSTITUTION: A processing load sensing means 32 senses the power consumption of a drive motor 9, while the CPU 62 of a comparing/judging means 34 compares the processing power in the monitoring period with the threshold data of the upper and lower limits on the basis of the monitoring time data stored in tables 57-61 contained in a memory means 33, and thereupon any failure of a tool is sensed. Receiving the processing data from the CPU 62, a computer device 70 outputs the data per processing stage and the number of pieces to be processed, subjecting them to a statistical processing, sets the threshold data, and sends the results to the CPU 62. The CPU 62 stores the data in the corresponding tables in the memory means 33.
