Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auger and excavation method such that excavation and ground compaction are performed with one auger.SOLUTION: An auger 1 comprises: an auger shaft 3 having a tip part 3a and an upper-side part 3b; and a transmission shaft 16 which are connected to a motor 10 and a speed reducer 12, and an exciter 14, and extends in the upper-side part 3b and tip part 3a of the auger shaft 3 in a longer direction of the auger shaft 3, and the tip part 3a of the auger shaft is selectively connected to and disconnected from the upper-side part 3b of the auger shaft 3. When the tip part 3a of the auger shaft 3 is connected to the upper-side part 3b of the auger shaft 3, the motor 10 and speed reducer 12 are placed in operation to allow the auger shaft 3 to rotate on the whole, and when the tip part 3a of the auger shaft 3 is disconnected from the upper-side part 3b of the auger shaft 3, the exciter 14 is placed in operation to cause the tip part 8 of the auger 1 to vibrate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
