Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a combustion control device for a multi-ignition engine wherein a spark plug can be easily arranged in a cylinder peripheral part between both intake ports without increasing ventilating resistance of the intake port. CONSTITUTION:The first intake port 4, which is a swirl port, and the second intake port 5, which is a tumble port, are provided in a cylinder 1. Here is formed the second intake port 5 so as to provide a large incident angle relating to a plane orthogonal to a cylinder axial line, and the third peripheral edge part spark plug 11 is arranged in surplus space, generated in a cylinder head H downward of the second intake port 5, so as to improve ignitability in a part between the intake ports. In the vicinity of a position corresponding to a position of arranging the third peripheral edge part spark plug 11, a cooling water passage 27 of open deck type is provided in a cylinder block B, so as to promote cooling an intake side part of the cylinder head H.
