Title:
AERO-WAVE INSTRUMENT FOR MEASUREMENT OF OPTICAL WAVE-FRONT DISTURBANCES IN AIRFLOW AROUND AIRBORNE SYSTEMS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2016172544
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable accurate measurement of aero-optical disturbances affecting the performance and/or accuracy of optical instrumentation.SOLUTION: A system includes a mirror supported by a gimbal for reflecting a light beam 30 from a light emitting source to a first periscope fold mirror 36 and therefrom reflecting the light beam directly to a second periscope fold mirror 40. A first concave off-axis paraboloid mirror 46 receives the light beam reflected from the second periscope fold mirror. A first fold mirror 42 receives the light beam reflected directly from the first concave off-axis paraboloid mirror. A second fold mirror 44 receives the light beam reflected directly from the first fold mirror. A second concave off-axis paraboloid mirror 52 receives the light beam reflected directly from the second fold mirror, and reflects the light beam to a fast steering mirror 54. A fine tracker camera 41 coupled to an embedded processor 39 receives a portion of the light beam from the fast steering mirror. The embedded processor controls movement of the fast steering mirror and the gimbal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
