Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform flash light emission while accurately discriminating a backlight scene.SOLUTION: A camera control part 41 obtains luminance information and color information by performing photometry on a luminance and a color in each of a plurality of photometric regions by an AE sensor 26 and calculates a luminance differential indicating a difference of the luminance in an image in accordance with the luminance information. Further, the camera control part discriminates whether a green color is detected in the photometric region in accordance with the color information and when performing backlight scene discrimination processing for discriminating whether an imaging scene is the backlight scene in accordance with the luminance differential and a backlight discrimination threshold, the backlight scene discrimination processing is performed while changing the backlight discrimination threshold in accordance with the number of green photometric regions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
