Abstract:
This backup system (1) for an oxygen concentrator is a system connected to a supply port (28) of an oxygen concentrator (10) which is equipped with the supply port (28) for the purpose of supplying highly concentrated oxygen. This backup system (1) is provided with: a main flow passage (12) leading from the supply port (28) to the respiratory tract of a patient; a backup flow passage (13) leading from an oxygen cylinder (11) which backs up the oxygen concentrator (10), to a branch point closer towards the patient than a concentrator-side check valve (29) on the main flow passage (12); and a state switching means (14) for switching between a normal state in which the backup flow passage (13) is closed, and a backup state in which the backup flow passage (13) is open.
