Title:
FLUORORESIN-IMPREGNATED SILICONE RUBBER PRODUCT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3222417
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an easily usable silicone rubber product having a low friction coefficient and a low adhesiveness of the surface by impregnating a fluororesin into a silicone rubber product having a shape of a sheet, a roll or any other shapes to be desired.
SOLUTION: A fluororesin is impregnated (dip-coated) into the roll 3 by soaking the silicone rubber roll 3 into a fluororesin solution of an aromatic solvent such as a thinner, toluene, xylene or the like. The fluororesin is impregnated into about 10 μm in depth from the surface of the silicone rubber roll 3 and a fluororesin coating 5 of about 10-30 μm thick is formed. Before the silicone rubber roll 3 is soaked into the fluororesin solution, preferably it has been subjected to an aging or anneal treatment in which the roll is heated in a drying oven whose temperature is a little less than 200°C for about 40 min to evaporate unsaturated molecules. After impregnating a fluororesin, the roll 3 is naturally dried for about 12 hr at an ambient temperature or is heat- dried for about 40 min in a drying oven of about 200°C.
