Title:
放射線グラフト重合用基材及びフィルター素材
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP4478779
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

To provide a base material for radiation graft polymerization of polymer fiber, particularly polyethylene fiber and the radiation graft material obtained by introducing functional groups into the base material thereby the graft material is improved, further improves the radiation graft polymerization method for woven or nonwoven base material.

In one embodiment, the polymer base material for radiation graft polymer in the form of woven or nonwoven fabrics is constituted with the woven or nonwoven fabric made of polymer fiber and a polymer reinforcing material that has higher strength than the polymer fiber and slower polymerization speed than that of the radiation graft polymerization. This invention also relates to a radiation graft polymer obtained from the polymer base material. In other embodiments, this invention is woven or nonwoven fabric composed of polymer single filament and only surface part of the fiber is treated with the radiation graft polymerization and the core or central part of the fiber is not grafted. Further in other embodiment, the woven or nonwoven fabric base material constituted from the polymer fiber is treated with electronic beams in an nitrogen atmosphere in the first step, then the radiated base material is coated with a specific amount of monomer in nitrogen atmosphere in the second step, and the monomer and the base material are graft-polymerized in the nitrogen atmosphere in the third step, wherein these three steps are carried out continuously and long fabric or long nonwoven fabric can be smoothly treated.
