Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that, when a bather loses consciousness in a bathroom, a bathroom monitor that causes a body motion detector for detecting movement of a human body, to detect abnormality and that notifies a family outside the bathroom thereof, determines abnormality when movement of the human body is not detected, and consequently, cannot discriminate a normal state where the bather sits in the bath and is relaxed in a still state, from an abnormal state where the bather loses consciousness and cannot move.SOLUTION: The bathroom monitor includes: position detecting means for acquiring position information of a detection object in a bathtub or in an upper space thereof; determination means for determining whether a bather in a bathroom is in a normal state or an abnormal state by an event from which zone out of a plurality of monitoring zones defined in the bathtub and the upper space thereof, the position information of the detection object is detected; and notification means that, when the determination means determines to be the abnormal state, notifies a person inside or outside the bathroom of the abnormality.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
