Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable connection equipment having a battery pack installed therein to perform proper control in accordance with the characteristic of the battery and the internal temperature of the battery pack irrespective of the type of the battery in the battery pack.SOLUTION: A battery pack 10 includes a temperature detection circuit 18. The temperature detection circuit 18 includes a temperature detection element 28 having such a resistance-temperature characteristic that the resistance value varies with temperature, and a resistance element 1 connected in series to the temperature detection element 28. The resistance element 1 has a resistance value R1 determined according to the characteristic of the battery 15. A detection signal based on the temperature detection element 28 and the resistance element 1 is output from the temperature detection circuit 18. Connection equipment 40 in which the battery pack 10 is mounted performs specific temperature-associated control based on the detection signal inputted from the battery pack 10 without identifying the type of the battery.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
