To provide a battery wherein the size of the battery (battery case) is not required to be lessened by the thickness of a clad plate when securing the clad plate by interposing it between the battery case and a positive electrode reed plate.

This battery is equipped with the metallic battery case 11 of a first material, which houses a power generating element, a positive electrode reed plate of a second material, which takes out a current, and the clad plate 12 to secure both of them. A recessed part 13 is formed on the surface of the battery case 11, and the clad plate 12 is formed of a member secured in the recessed part 13 so that a metal material which can be welded to the positive electrode reed plate is positioned on the outer surface side of the battery case 11, and is flush with the outer surface of the battery case 11.
