Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve sealed pressure resistance and prevent leaked liquid of electrolyte without deformation even under a high temperature state, by integrally forming an annular sealing projection for biting into an insulating gasket due to pressure applied during a crimping process of an opening in a battery jar in the peripheral end of a plate. SOLUTION: An annular sealing projection 17 with a sharp tip is formed at the peripheral end of the lower surface of a plate 9, and the sealing projection 17 is bitten into an insulating gasket 11 during a crimping process of an opening in a battery jar 1. Therefore, the sealing projection 17 provided on a metal-made plate 9 with high rigidity strongly bites into the insulating gasket 11 made of relatively soft material, and certainly keeps the state. Therefore, the sealing projection 17 does not deform. Thus, this battery is integrally formed not to increase number of components, and sufficient sealed pressure resistance characteristic is provided without rising its cost.
