Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel bearing device which is reduced in cost while reducing a size and weight of the device.SOLUTION: In a wheel bearing device in which a bolt insertion hole 6a is protrusively formed at a wheel attaching flange 6, and a hub bolt 7 is pressure-inserted and fixed, the hub bolt 7 is formed of bolt steel which is added with at least one kind of Si, Cu, Ni and Cr, an old austenite crystal grain number of the hub bolt is not lower than 10.0, and the hub bolt has tensile strength not lower than 1200 MPa. By this constitution, the wheel bearing device can be provided which is achieved in cost reduction and a layout freedom by reducing hole-opening man-hours of the bolt insertion hole 6a, pressure-insertion man-hours, and the number of part items while reducing a size and weight of the device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
