Abstract:
To provide a bearing wall which has excellent vibration control performance, while the width of a vertical member forming the bearing wall is made to be as narrow as possible.SOLUTION: A bearing wall includes: a pair of vertical members 1A, 1B raised with an interval; a pair of horizontal members 2 laid horizontal with an interval between the pair of vertical members 1; a plurality of dampers 6 mounted on one vertical member 1A; a connection member 5 for connecting the plurality of dampers 6; and two pieces of braces 3A, 3B for connecting an intersection of the other vertical member 1B and the horizontal member 2 and the connection member 5. The two pieces of braces 3A, 3B are disposed in such a manner that a virtual intersection P formed by extending shaft centers L2, L3 respectively is located on a shaft center L1 of the one vertical member 1A.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
