Abstract:
PURPOSE: To form thick wall parts exactly at aimed positions by a method wherein the blowing pressure in the interior of parison is varied locally.
CONSTITUTION: By pre-pinching cylindrical parison 3 extruded from a die 1, a first and a second air chambers 25 and 27. The first and the second air chambers 25 and 27 are pre-blown by pressures different from each other so that the pressure to be applied to the first air chamber 25 corresponding to the thicker wall part of a seat back frame is set to be lower than the pressure to be applied to the second air chamber 27 corresponding to the thinner wall part of the seat back frame. After the pre-pinching of the parison 3 is released excluding the pinchings at its upper and lower end parts, the parison 3 is pinched from both sides through the clamping action of a forming mold 9. After that, under the above-mentioned condition, main blowing is carried out in order to form the seat back frame having the thicker wall part at its peripheral part.
