Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet processing device capable of binding a paper bundle by various binding methods without causing any increase in size of a sheet processing device or number of components.SOLUTION: A binding mechanism cartridge 100 can be attached to or detached from a binding device body 200 in place of a staple cartridge 300. The binding mechanism cartridge 100 includes a body part 101 held at the storage position 201 of the staple cartridge 300 of the binding device body 200, a lifting part 102 moving close to or away from one surface side of a paper bundle interlockingly with the driving mechanism 210 of the binding device body 200, and a base part 103 for supporting the paper bundle from the other surface side. The lifting part 102 includes binding means 104 provided to press at least a part into contact with one surface side of the paper bundle along with the movement of the lifting part 102 close to or away, and bind the paper bundle without using any staple.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
