Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new biodiesel generator and an operation method for the same which enable 100% palm oil to be economically used as fuel for the biodiesel power generation.SOLUTION: In an operation method for a biodiesel generator, when a temperature of cooling water reaches a predetermined temperature after a start-up of a diesel engine 10, the cooling water is sent to a heat exchanger for heating palm oil in a tank until kinetic viscosity thereof becomes equivalent to liquid fossil fuel and the heated palm oil is supplied to the diesel engine 10 in place of the liquid fossil fuel. Thus, the operation method enables almost 100% palm oil to be used as biodiesel fuel as an alternative to the liquid fossil fuel and an electric power cost to heat the palm oil to be saved by heating the same with waste heat of the engine.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
