Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological treatment method for organic-matter-containing water, allowing for finding out active ingredients which can improve depression of a treatment performance caused by biological activity defects, and more effective use even when using burned ash, or surely enabling an effect of improving depression of a treatment performance caused by biological activity defects in a further secured and stable state without using burned ash, and to provide a biological activator.SOLUTION: A biological treatment method for organic-matter-containing water includes adding a sulfur (S) content to a treatment system in order to activate biology and promote biological decomposition treatment of organic matters when subjecting biological treatment to organic-matter-containing water. Furthermore, the biological treatment method for organic-matter-containing water includes adding a magnesium (Mg) content to a treatment system in order to improve biological activity when performing biological treatment to organic-matter-containing water where at least 0.15 mg/L or more of a sulfur content exists based on BOD 100 mg/L. A biological activator to be used for the method is also provided.SELECTED DRAWING: None
