Abstract:
To provide a biomarker and associated test method for identifying subjects with unstable plaque or predicting the presence of unstable plaque in subjects.SOLUTION: A method, kit, and sensor are provided, which allow for predicting and identifying the presence of asymptomatic unstable plaque in subjects and predicting onset of atherothrombotic cerebral infarction or acute coronary syndrome in the subjects by measuring expression levels of leucine-rich α2-glycoprotein (LRG) in serum samples of the subjects.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
