To provide a boiler inlet flue capable of shortening a furnace operation stop time by introducing high-temperature gas exhausted from a furnace into a waste heat boiler so that the gas collides with a ceiling of the waste heat boiler and by making dust contained in the high-temperature gas and droplets of molten metal actively adhere to the ceiling for suppressing the generation of firm matte-sticking and mitigating the work of removing matte-sticking.
The boiler inlet flue 30 introduces the high-temperature gas exhausted from the furnace 10 to the waste heat boiler 20 and includes a continuously-arranged part 36 having a communication hole 37 extending to a direction crossing the vertical direction to be connected to the waste heat boiler 20. The ceiling 36A of the continuously-arranged part 36 is formed with a suspended wall 39 projecting downward. The projection height H of the suspended wall 39 is set within a range expressed in a relationship of 0.025×V≤H≤0.5×V with respect to an opening height V in a cross section orthogonal to the extending direction of the communication hole 37.
