Abstract:
To further reliably reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) with a small amount of reductant by causing ammonia that is supplied as the reductant to arrive at a center part of a furnace or the like, in a boiler capable of combusting ammonia as fuel.SOLUTION: A boiler includes: a combustion device capable of combusting ammonia as fuel; a furnace to which the combustion device is mounted; a flue for guiding a combustion gas that is generated after the fuel is combusted; and an injection unit installed to at least one of the furnace and the flue in a downstream position of the combustion gas relative to the combustion device and injecting ammonia as reductant toward a central part in plan view of the furnace or flue.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
