Abstract:
To provide a method for removing methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), particularly a method for removing MRSA from a UV sensitive surface.SOLUTION: The method includes use of bactericidal UV light in a wavelength range of 207 nm-222 nm. The UV light is emitted from a UV lamp 4 having a lamp cover 1 produced from UV-permitted borosilicate glass having a total platinum content of less than 3.5 ppm. There are also disclosed the use of the UV-permitted borosilicate glass and a method for producing the same.SELECTED DRAWING: None
