Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To find an appropriate threshold value compared with the amount of use of a system.SOLUTION: A boundary value determination device includes: a communication unit for collecting information on response time of a service request to an information processing system and information on an amount of used resources of the information processing system used for the service request every constant time interval; a calculation unit for adapting a prescribed distribution to a histogram of response time of each section obtained by dividing the amount of used resources by the prescribed interval regarding a set of the response time and the amount of used resources, and calculating goodness of fit of the histogram and the prescribed distribution by the section; and a determination unit for determining a boundary value to define a threshold value of the amount of used resources on the basis of a change of the goodness of fit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
