Abstract:
To prevent a liquid from entering an interior of a brake operation device from the outside.SOLUTION: A brake operation device 1 includes: an air pressure type booster 2 having a front shell 3; a master cylinder 30 having a cylinder part 31; a seal member 70; and a cover member 75. The master cylinder 30 includes: a butted part 65 which protrudes to the radial outer side from an outer periphery of the cylinder part 31 at the front side relative to the seal member 70 and contacts with the front shell 3 on its rear surface; a protruding part 66 protruding downward from the butted part 65; and a discharge passage 68 communicating with a space S enclosed by the front shell 3 and the cylinder part 31 between the butted part 65 and the seal member 70 and extending downward at the protruding part 66. The cover member 75 is disposed forming a gap G with a lower end of the discharge passage 68 so as to cover the lower end of the discharge passage 68. Thus, the structure can prevent a liquid from entering an interior of the brake operation device 1 without hindering discharge of a brake fluid through the discharge passage 68.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
