Abstract:
To provide a brake pedal device configured to enable a reaction force mechanism, which energizes a brake pedal being stepped-in in the opposite direction of the stepping-in direction according to respective deflection amounts of two compression coil springs with different free lengths, to suppress the compression coil springs from deforming in a radial direction.SOLUTION: A brake pedal device 10 comprises a reaction force mechanism 50 that energizes a brake pedal 40 in the opposite direction of a stepping-in direction when the brake pedal 40 is stepped-in. In the reaction force mechanism 50, a columnar part 88 of a protruding piece part 83 of a rear-side holder 54 is inserted through a shaft hole part 74 of a cylindrical part 66 of a front-side holder 52, so that concentric arrangements of outer and inner compression coil springs 56 and 58 with different natural lengths are retained. Further, the columnar part 88 of the protruding piece 83 of the rear-side holder 54 is slidably guided by an inner peripheral wall 78 of the shaft hole part 74 of the front-side holder 52, so that the front-side and rear-side holders 52 and 54 are made to approach or separate from each other concentrically.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
