Abstract:
The electrical commutator brushes used on an electrical motor is produced as a pre-assembled module [60] that is mounted on a circuit board using locating dowels [56] and contact pins [44] . The carbon brushes [78] are mounted on leaf spring arms [80] that apply a contact force. The module has leaf spring contact arms [74] projecting from a plate [70] that is used to earth the assembly.
